to my girls at the top of the tree

(also called: to the members of the "loser"-club)

I was sorting through my mail when i found an email from my cousin (I think) she had sent me a while back, whilst i was still a member of the club this is dedicated to.. -hehe- anyways.. it said to send it to all the girls i know who are at the top of the tree and i thought i'd just post it for them.. you know who you are! (and to those who dont: it's the members that havnt been able to make it out of the club yet! but dont be upset, at least you all got v-day cards from Neemo!).. anyhow, enough blabber.. here you go;

Girls are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree.
The boys don't want to reach for the good ones because they're afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead they just get the rotten apples that are on the ground, that aren't as good, but easy.
So the apples at the top think that there is something wrong with them, when in reality, they are amazing. That is why we just have to be a little patient and the right boy, the one who takes a chance to find the good, right apple, will come someday...

Love you guys!! (k)

"don't be afraid to make mistakes"

I heard this in one of the OneTreeHill episodes that I'm watching, and this might sound a little silly, but it sorta "inspired" me.. ok, maybe inspired is the wrong word, but I just really liked it and it sorta gave me an insight about how we lead our lives.. anyways.. just felt like posting it.. here you go:

"Looking back on what I said, all the hopes and dreams I had, I’ve come to the conclusion, that if having things turn out the way you wanted them to, as a measure of a successful life, then some would say I’m a failure. The important thing is not to be bitter over life’s disappointments, learn to let go of the past and recognize, that every day won't be sunny. And when you find yourself lost in the darkness and despair, remember, that it’s only in the black of night, that you can see the stars and those stars will lead you back home. So don’t be afraid to make mistakes, to stumble and fall, because most of the time the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most, maybe you’ll get everything you wish for... Maybe you’ll get more then you ever imagined. Who knows where life will take you, the road is long and in the end the journey is the destination."

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER - by Erma Bombeck

(written after she found out she was dying from cancer).

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earthwould go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.

I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted instorage.I would have talked less and listened more.

I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried muchless about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace

I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.

I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.

I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer daybecause my hair had just been teased and sprayed.

I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains.

I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more whilewatching life.

I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished everymoment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the onlychance in life to assist God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go
get washed up for dinner." There would have been more "I love you's." More"I'm sorry's."

But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute...look at it and really see it, live it and never give it back. Stop sweating thesmall stuff.

Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what.

Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us.

Let's think about what God HAS blessed us with. And what we are doing eachday to promote ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally. I hope you all have a blessed day.

9. We never have to reach down every so often to make sure our privates are still there.
10. We have the ability to dress ourselves.

12. If we marry someone 20 years younger, we are aware that we will look like an idiot.
13. We will never regret piercing our ears
