Def.: Friendship:
Someone with whom you can be yourself… who accommodates and accepts you and your individuality, not criticizes, judges and dictates. True friends are not creators of burdens… The world is full of problems… friends are there to make lighten your load and help eliminate the problems life throws at you. Friends know each other's flaws and fine qualities… appreciate their differences as a strengthening factor in their relationship.
True friendship comes naturally, from heart to heart. They are not something that can be forced, reviewed, examined, lectured or questioned. It is not on public display for public criticism or public opinion… Friendship is not about how many words are exchanged between two people, nor is it measure by the amount of time spent together or sharing interest. Friendships are simply based on unwritten understanding and respect. They allow you space to be at ease and yourself because true friends know what is in their friend's heart... every intention behind every word and every gesture… A friend is quick to forgive and forget… not quick to grab things against you… on the contrary, they guard your "negatives" against criticism by shining a light on your virtues.
Life's too short. This school year's stress and burdens alone will make it even shorter. Now is the perfect time for friendships to shine through
